We offer a variety of group classes to help meet you and your canine's needs. Each class is one hour long and meets weekly for six weeks.
**Full payment of $85 prior to class is required to reserve a spot in any group class - space is limited, so sign up early!
Start Dates for Puppy Kindergarten Classes:
This class is specifically designed to meet the social, developmental, and training needs of puppies eight weeks to six months of age. With a special focus on developing a social, well rounded puppy; special socialization and handling exercises are included. Working to build a strong foundation, puppies learn important behaviors such as sit, down, stay, and coming when called. At the end of every puppy class is supervised, size appropriate, off leash play time.

Start Dates for Good Manners Classes:
A perfect fit for any adolescent or adult dog that needs to learn how to be a well mannered member of the household! Learn how to communicate appropriately and effectively with your dog. This course covers basic, fundamental behaviors such as walking well on leash, sit for greetings, down, stay, waiting at doors, drop it, and coming when called.

For graduates of our Good Manners Class or equivalent.
Meet the Trainer!
April VanBuren is our resident Veterinary Behavioral Technician, who has been working with dogs and their humans for over 10 years. A graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior, she is dedicated to using the most modern, science based training techniques to help our canines be their best. April’s six dogs have all achieved their Canine Good Citizen certification as well as having multiple achievements and titles in Agility, Rally Obedience, Conformation, and Pet Therapy. An active rescue advocate, April fosters and is the vice-president for Michigan Bernese Mountain Dog Rescue. Also a Licensed Veterinary Technician, April has a strong passion for helping our animal friends.
Training provided April VanBuren, Licensed Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Behavioral Technician and Graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training and Behavior. April has been working with dogs for over 10 years and is committed to building the human animal bond.
